It is with both sadness and gratitude that we announce the passing of Bonita J. Rolston, who departed this life at the age of 83 on October 11, 2025, in the comfort of her home in Binghamton, New York. Born on November 22, 1941, Bonnie was a guiding light to her family, embodying love, warmth, and generosity.
Bonnie was predeceased by her beloved husband, Max Rolston, as well as her parents, Ruth and Leroy Wescott, and her dear brother, Rodney Wescott. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children: George (Rocky DiFrancesco) Rolston of Friendsville, PA; Brenda (Henry) Rolston-Frisbie of Conklin, NY; and Nicholas Schneider of Binghamton, NY. Her cherished grandchildren-Marina, Theodore, Josephine, Whitacre Max, Emily, Harley, and Megan-were the joy of her life, and she devoted countless hours watching them grow and flourish on the family farm, a place that held her heart. She also leaves behind her four-legged friend Cooper and cat Gracie.
Bonnie will be celebrated for her spirit of devotion and her passionate commitment to family. The service to honor her life will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the Conklin Forks United Methodist Church, located at 4420 Brady Hill Road, Binghamton, NY 13903. Following the memorial service, she will be laid to rest in Hawleyton Cemetery, a serene tribute to a life well-lived.
Friends and family are invited to gather and pay their respects during visiting hours, which will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the DeMunn Funeral Home and Cremation Service, situated at 36 Conklin Avenue, Binghamton, NY 13903.
