Bonnie Lou (Simmons) Bolin, 92, of Odessa, Missouri, passed away, Sunday, October 8, 2023, at St. Mary’s Ignite Medical in Blue Springs, Missouri.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2023, at the Odessa Restoration Branch, 6783 MO-131, Odessa, Missouri. Memorials are suggested to the Odessa Restoration Branch. Bonnie was born September 9, 1931, in Carrier Mills, Illinois, to John and Cora Elizabeth (Choate) Simmons. She graduated from Carrier Mills High School. Bonnie was a homemaker, where she tended and raised her family. Bonnie was united in marriage to Everett Bolin, Jr. on July 24, 1949, in Harrisburg, IL. Everett preceded her in death on February 9, 2015. Bonnie was an active member of the Odessa Restoration Branch Church in Odessa, Missouri. Being an accomplished guitar player, Bonnie shared her talent by playing and singing at church. Along with spending time with family, Bonnie enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening, and was a storyteller.
Bonnie is survived by four children, David (Christine “Chris) Bolin of Harrisburg, IL, Michael (RaDonna) Bolin of Harrisburg, IL, Joseph (Lequita) Bolin of New Athens, IL, and James (Terri) Bolin of Napoleon, MO; twelve grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, six sisters, five brothers, and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Along with both her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by one child, Rhonda Miles; one grandchild, and one great grandchild.
