Bonnie Eloise Brown Moses was born September 4, 1939, in Rosepine, LA, to W. C. and Ancevilia White Brown. She passed away March 29, 2026, surrounded by her family.
Eloise graduated from Sugartown High School in May 1958. She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Jennings, LA. Eloise was active in the Order of the Eastern Star: Star of Magnolia Chapter Number 232 Ragley, LA, serving as Worthy Matron five years.
Eloise is preceded in death by her parents W. C. and Ancevilia Brown and sister Avis Schales.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 67 years 11 ½ months Ray V. Moses; sons Billy Moses (Sharon), Wayne Moses (Cindy); daughters Bonnie Hall, Lawanda Squyres (Mike), Pam Schexnider (Gabe); 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; brother Thomas “Red” Brown (Betty); sister Evelyn Hillebrandt; numerous nephews, nieces, and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 31, 2026, 4:00-8:00 pm at Johnson Funeral Home Iowa, LA, with an Eastern Star Memorial service at 6:00 pm. Visitation will resume at 8:00 am Wednesday, April 1, 2026. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Johnson Funeral Home Iowa, LA, with Rev. E. J. McCann officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm at Shiloh Cemetery, Dry Creek, LA.
Pallbearers serving are Thomas Hall, Shane Soileau, Joe Marshall, Blaine Sharp, Cody Burgess, Cory Burgess, and Tyler Gotreaux.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful medical staff who cared for Eloise.
