Hubert Brasseaux, Jr., a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on February 20, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on November 2, 1938, in Church Point, Louisiana, Hubert lived a full life filled with love, laughter, and many cherished memories.
Hubert was a proud Marine veteran who served his country with honor. Later in life, he found his calling as a Produce Manager in the grocery industry, where he made lasting connections with colleagues and customers alike.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and joy, remembered fondly by his daughters, Brenda Hebert (Raymond) and Debra Miller (Dwayne), his sons, Stanley Brasseaux (Hope), and John Brasseaux. He was also a devoted brother to James Brasseaux (Jenny). Hubert will be deeply missed by his 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with another one on the way. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Joan Jones, as well as his brothers-in-law, Tony Pousson and Nathan Cormier, also numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved cat, Peanut Butter.
A true man of the outdoors, Hubert enjoyed spending his time fishing, hunting, and placing friendly bets at the horse races. However, nothing brought him more happiness than gathering with his family, sharing stories and laughter.
In tribute to Hubert's life, his funeral services will be held at Johnson Funeral Home of Iowa on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will begin in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., with a rosary recited at 12:30 PM. Hubert will be laid to rest at Ardoin Cove Cemetery.
