Bonnie Drum-Yetter Conklin, NY- Bonnie Drum-Yetter passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the age of 84. She succumbed to the stresses of dementia and a short battle with cervical cancer. Bonnie was pre-deceased by her parents, Royden and Pauline Drum. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, David Yetter; their son and daughter-in-law Steven and Tersia; grandchildren Connor and Chloe Yetter (twins), Cassidy Yetter Bunce (Ryan); and great grand-daughter Everleigh Bunce. Bonnie graduated from Binghamton North High School in 1959 and SUNY Oswego with a BA degree in Elementary Education. She taught at the Donnelly and Brookside Schools in the Susquehanna Valley School District, retiring in 1998. After retiring, she continued her service by teaching ESL as a volunteer at the American Civic Association and working part-time for Planned Parenthood of Binghamton. Bonnie also became known as an accomplished artist, specializing in pastel paintings of dogs, horses, and wildlife. Her paintings adorn the walls of many collectors in the region. Bonnie also believed that life is not about living, it's about love. Her love of family and friends, her horses and dogs, and all those she served, was unconditional. Per Bonnie's wishes, there will be no services. A memorial gathering may perhaps be planned at a later date. She will be buried with her parents in Kattleville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Broome County Humane Society in Bonnie's name or to a charity of your choice.
