Bonnie Huang Obituary
She was born September 14, 1972, in Beijing, China, the daughter of Mingyuan Huang and Guangling Miao. She graduated from Beijing No. 4 High School and earned a BA in Automation Engineering from the Beijing University of Technology, where she met her beloved husband, Chen Yu. They moved to the United States in 1999, and she later earned an MA in computer science from Rochester Institute of Technology and worked as an IT professional at Xerox, Indiana University Bloomington, and the University of Texas Austin.
Bonnie was a devoted wife, mother to sons Andrew and Jason, daughter, sister, and friend, loving and generous to all. Wherever she lived, she became active in many groups that matched her interests and those of her family, ranging from the Chinese community to soccer and basketball to music. She made many friends and will be sorely missed.
She is survived by her husband and sons, her parents, her sister Weirong Huang, and her parents-in-law Jigang Yu and Li Xing.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 5:30 pm Monday, January 29, 2024, at Harrell Funeral Home of Austin. A prayer service will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. A reception will follow from 6:30 to 8:00 pm.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 20, 2024, at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Harrell Funeral Home of Austin.

First memory of Bonnie : As a colleague who joined D2I a week before I did and she was an Asian like me.
Favorite memory : She listened to me about my relocation situation. Also other non-work conversations on the call after we completed discussing work-related issues.
