Bonnie Hunter

Bonnie Ruth Hunter was called home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2023.
She was born August 8, 1944 to father Bonnie Hue Fielder and mother Grace Mae Fielder (Jenkins) in Abilene, Texas. At the age of 4, Bonnie and her family moved to Phoenix, Arizona where they lived with her grandparents Pinell and Henrietta (Foster) Jenkins. Bonnie attended South Mountain High School and excelled in tennis and other sports. In 1964, Bonnie gave birth to her oldest daughter, Lisa. Later in that year, she married Otis Hunter and out of that nearly 60-year long union they had three children, Katrina, Glen and Jimmy.
In 1965, Otis and Bonnie moved to Los Angeles, California. They soon moved from Los Angeles to West Covina, where they lived until they moved to Fontana, CA in 1998. During those years, Bonnie was an amazing homemaker where she focused on raising her kids and running her home. She was the neighborhood mom to many of her childrens friends. She also worked at a variety of jobs, including an assembly worker at Belwith Hardware Company and Heinz Tomato factory. Bonnie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior at home and soon thereafter became an active member of Valley Baptist Church in Rowland Heights, CA and Puente Hills Baptist Church, in Covina, CA. At the church, Bonnie was involved with the nursery, hospitality and event planning. Besides her love for the Lord, Bonnie enjoyed gardening, decorating her home, the Dodgers,` and movies about the old west.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Bonnie Hue Fielder and Grace Mae Shurn; brother Glen Fielder, and step son Michael Hunter. Bonnie is survived by her husband Otis Hunter of Fontana, CA; sister Wanda Calloway (husband Othell) of Avondale, AZ; brother Desota Jackson III of Avondale, AZ; great Aunt Nancy Hearn of Hesperia, CA; daughter Lisa Lievanos of Bloomington, CA; daughter Katrina Christian (husband Herald) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA; son Glen Hunter (fianc Kelly) of Lake Elsinore, CA and son Jimmy Hunter (wife Alexis) of Corona, CA; eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and loved ones.
