Bonnie Anne Kellogg, 50, of Gettysburg, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Avera Missouri River Health Center, Gettysburg, surrounded by family and assisted by hospice after a battle with glioblastoma brain cancer.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at the United Methodist Church, Gettysburg with Pastor Laura Cook presiding. Burial will follow in the Gettysburg Cemetery. A prayer service will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2025, at the church with visitation one-hour prior.
Bonnie was born on July 19, 1974, in Hoven, SD, to Arlen and Sandra (Lamberton) Stiegelmeier. She attended both grade school and high school in Gettysburg, graduating in 1992. Bonnie initially enrolled at Black Hills State University for college. After working for a time, she later re-enrolled at Presentation College, where she earned a B.A. in Business Management and an associate degree in Health Information, graduating in 2002.
Bonnie returned to Gettysburg, SD, and began working at the Rural Health Clinics so she could help care for her father, Arlen-whom she absolutely adored-following his health struggles. She later transferred to Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) and, in 2004, joined the Avera Hospital team. She worked in the Health Information Department for 20 years, until her cancer diagnosis made it impossible for her to continue.
In 2005, Bonnie met the love of her life, Paul Kellogg. They were married on April 2, 2006, in Las Vegas, NV. Together, they farmed with Paul's family, operating PBK Farms Inc. in Gettysburg and the surrounding area. On January 28, 2008, their first daughter, Ashley Anne, was stillborn in Sioux Falls, SD. On March 3, 2009, they welcomed their daughter, Alexis Renae.
Bonnie was a member of the United Methodist Church in Gettysburg and a credentialed AHIMA Health Information Specialist. She enjoyed reading, walking, exercising, riding side-by-sides, camping, exploring Pinterest, and watching scary movies and crime/detective shows. She was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan. Above all, Bonnie's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and supporting her daughter, Alexis, who was the pride of her life.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Paul, and daughter, Alexis, of Gettysburg; father- and mother-in-law, William and Corliss Kellogg of Gettysburg; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Kellogg of Gettysburg, and Elizabeth Kellogg (Brandon), along with nieces, Ava and Kennedy of Harrisburg; her birthing person, Sandra Stiegelmeier, and sibling, Kenny, of Gettysburg.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Anne; her father, Arlen Stiegelmeier; and her mother-in-law, Ethel Kellogg.
