Bonnie A. Messenger passed away on September 14, 2025, at the Luther Home. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joseph Roland and Dorothy (Dobbertin) St. Onge on October 16, 1942. Bonnie moved to Marinette in the 6th grade where she went on to graduated in 1960 from Our Lady of Lourdes. In 1965, she married the love of her life, Clinton "Jiggs" Messenger. They had two children, Herb Messenger and Marnie (John) Dantinne. They gave her three grandchildren: Colton(Melissa), Katelyn Dantinne, and Clint Messenger. She was blessed with four great grandchildren: Parker and Sophia Messenger and Tucker and Rhett Dantinne.
Some of her greatest joys in life were gardening, cheering for the Brewers, and watching her great grandchildren grow. One of her favorite memories was a trip to Nashville she took with her granddaughter, Katelyn and best friend, Kathy. She enjoyed trips to Brubaker's with her friend of many years, Kay. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her generous spirit, and her ability to bring joy and comfort to everyone around her.
Per Bonnie's wishes, no funeral services will be held. Thielen Funeral Home is assisting the family.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the nurses at BAMC, a special thank you to her nurse, Sarah Henry, for the compassionate care shown to Bonnie during her hospital stay, Deb and the staff Unity Hospice for the comfort care she received, Dr. "O" for always putting a smile on her face during such a difficult time, and Lisa, Summer, Misty, and Cassie at the Luther Home for treating her like she was family.
