Bonnie S. Pettee

Bonnie S. Pettee, 73, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024. Born July 20, 1951, in Rockford, the daughter of Melvin and Marjorie (Chester) Huff. Graduate of Auburn High School, Class of 1969. Bonnie worked at the Greater Rockford Auto Auction and was a member of River Valley Community Church where she volunteered and was very involved. She enjoyed quilting, was very adventurous and her energy was infectious. Bonnie loved flowers and spending time with her family and friends. She was a very loving person and generous to all
Survived by her children, Darcey (Eric) Shinhoster, Dan (Elba Munoz) Schroeder and Shana Schroeder; grandchildren, Jaritt, Dayven, and Kinley Shinhoster; siblings, Barbara (Steve) Voss, Melvin (Karen) Huff Jr., and Mark (Jamie) Huff; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Jim Wilcox.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at Olson North Main Chapel, 2811 N. Main St., Rockford. Memorial Services will be held following the visitation at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at River Valley Community Church, 5439 E. State St., Rockford.
