Bonnie J. Rodey, age 75, a Manitowoc resident, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay.

She was born February 19, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky, daughter of the late Richard and Geraldine (Vitatow) Wirth. Bonnie attended Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1968. Following high school, she proudly led Bonnie Kadettes Baton Corp, a baton marching group that she enjoyed practicing and marching in parades with. On July 8, 1978 Bonnie married Charles Rodey. On July 4, 2025 they proudly celebrated 50 years of being together. She was employed as a CNA at Holy Family Memorial for many years until her retirement. Following her retirement in 2013, her and Charles became Destin, Florida snowbirds where they made many friends over the years. She most recently enjoyed going to Treeland Resort on the Chippewa Flowage with her husband and friends for two weeks in September. They also enjoyed doing many puzzles together. Bonnie enjoyed creating silk floral arrangements for weddings and other events. She lovingly made each flower and arrangement by hand. Above all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband: Charles Rodey; three children: David Rodey, Shawano, Richard (Katie) Rodey, Sussex, and Traci (Jay) Jones, Killeen, Texas; grandchildren: Raven, Valen, Jocelyn, Adan, and Soralynn; three siblings: Tom Wirth, Jim Wirth, and Barb Zill; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Dayna Rodey, Craig (Karen) Rodey, and Tonya Rodey (significant other: Greg Danastasio). Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Richard and Geraldine Wirth; her sister: Carol Wirth; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: David and Ramona Rodey.

The family will greet relatives and friends for a public visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025 at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 628 N. Water Street, Manitowoc. Following the visitation, there will be no funeral service but the family invites family and friends to join them for a reception at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center, located on the southside property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.

It was a pleasure for Dick And me to get to know Bonnie over the past ten years. She will always be remembered for her kindness and generosity. We are pretty sure she has already made a fresh batch of fudge for her heavenly friends.
RIP Dear Snowbird friend!

Bonnie is going to be missed so much by all her Destin Snowbird friends. She was a lovely, sweet and friendly person who loved decorating for all our events. I always knew when it was Christmas, Valentine's Day or almost Easter - all I had to do was see what color lights she'd hung around her condo windows! This was so appropriate because she herself was such a shining light. Dave and I will miss her alot. Chuck, we've both been through what you're having to go through. Please don't hesitate to contact us. Love to you and your entire family.
