Bonnie Lee Slinkosky, 93, of Akron, Ohio passed away on September 18, 2024 after a short illness. Bonnie was born in Wilbur, West Virginia on May 15, 1931 the daughter of Dale and Eska Weekley. Bonnie had her own Beauty Shop called, Touch of Beauty, and had many special customers over the years until she retired at the age of 84. She sold her shop some years ago to Dave and Barb Riffle who became her boss, working beside her to form a wonderful friendly shop. They became like a family. Rosie Kasakas worked for her 42 years along with longtime employees, Karen Caldwell and Cathy Collette.
Bonnie was a beautiful young woman who cared about people and was as nice inside as on the outside. She loved her family most of all, along with her Crystal Lake relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Andrew Slinkosky; parents Dale and Eska Weekley; sister Judy Finney; brother Michael Weekley; and nephew Marc Finney.
Bonnie is survived by her son Rick (Debbie) Slinkosky; grandchildren Andrew (Desi) Slinkosky and Halle Slinkosky; brother-in-law Ron Finney; sister-in-laws Wanda Weekley and Betty Potkalitsky; two special nephews Mitch (Reva) Weekley and Erik (Wendy) Finney; and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Sept 25th from 11:30 to 12:30 at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 12:30 with Deacon Robin Adair officiating.
Interment will be held at Hillside Memorial Park.
