Bonnie J. Spies, 85, of Pennellville, passed away Friday. Born in Syracuse, she worked at her family camera shop in Fulton before in 1967, buying a successful 200-acre dairy farm in Pennellville with her husband and four children including a newborn in tow.

Bonnie was selfless, with endless love for her children. A positive and happy spirit, people would seek her out to brighten their day. She loved God and being a Christian.

She was predeceased by her beloved son, Joseph Spies; parents, Ursel and Thelma Harvell; brother, Thomas Harvell.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Ursula Spies, Oregon, Rita Godfrey, Volney, John (Elizabeth) Spies, Jr., Syracuse; four grandchildren, Juliana Godfrey, Brandon Buccina, Anna Spies, and Lena Spies; brother, Richard (Patty) Harvell, Oswego; and several nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 16, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Falardeau Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m at the funeral home, 93 Downer St., Baldwinsville. Burial will be private in Pennellville Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Loretto Cunningham 5th floor for loving and caring for Bonnie like family.
