Bonnie M. Wellens

Bonnie M. Wellens, age 91, formerly of Plainfield, passed away, peacefully, February 16, 2025 at Country Terrace in Minocqua.
She was born March 19, 1933 in Deerfield, Wisconsin the daughter of Emil and Matie (Collis) Klabunde. She married Joseph D. Wellens on November 21, 1953. He preceded her in death on March of 1997.
Bonnie was born and raised in the Plainfield area where she attended Tri-County Schools. She later went on to work at AT&T. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Almond. She was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her children, Joseph J. Wellens, Suzanne M. (Greg) Slominski and Lois J. (Charles) Schlueter; her 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and two grandchildren, James and Joseph.
Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday February 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in St. John's Lutheran Church, Almond. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of services.
