Robert Lee Ruffalo was born on August 21, 1946, at his family home to James Vincent Ruffalo and Rose Marie Ruffalo. He grew up at the family home on Hwy O in Plainfield, Wisconsin, where the Ruffalo family instilled in him the strong work ethic and family values that would guide him throughout his life.

Robert dedicated nearly 65 years of his life working as a Fleet Maintenance Director at Plainfield Trucking, a career that reflected his remarkable work ethic, mechanical skill, and leadership qualities. Bob’s impact on the company runs deep and will be felt for years to come.

Robert often said he first met Lucy in the third grade, as their parents were friends. That childhood connection grew into a lifelong love. Robert and Lucy were married on June 26, 1965, beginning a marriage that lasted more than 60 years and was enriched by the life and family they built together.

Robert and Lucy enjoyed many of life’s simple pleasures. They loved spending time attending their children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s sports and helping with community, and church landscaping needs. Most of all, Robert loved being surrounded by family. He especially treasured hunting with his grandsons, creating memories that will be carried forward through generations.

Together over the years they traveled throughout the country with their two children, Barry and Bobbi. Among their favorite destinations were the mountains of Tennessee and the sandy beaches of Fort Myers, Florida, where Robert would often joke that it was the place he finally learned how to relax.

Robert is survived by his loving family: His daughter, Bobbi Ruffalo (Ulf Berggren), Grandchildren: Genevieve Reabe (Tyler) and Benjamin Ruffalo-Ebben Great-grandchildren: Bingham and Catalina Reabe.                                                               His son, Barry Ruffalo (Mindy), Grandchildren: William Ruffalo (Katie Meeks), Kathrine Ruffalo Harte (Charlie), Ava and Luca.

Robert will be deeply missed by his family, who will forever carry his stories, lessons, and love with them.
