Bonnie Ann Wheatley, age 86, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, in Warrensburg, Missouri.
She was born on Friday, October 21, 1938, in Bethel, Kansas, the daughter of James Houck and Leetha Martin.
Our mother, a multi-talented woman, was not only a wonderful singer but able to play multiple instruments ranging from guitar to organ without ever being taught. She ministered to many nursing homes through her music ministry. She was also a songwriter and artist who loved working with pastels. Her vibrant personality and love of life has inspired many, including her children. We are grateful for the multiple gifts she has given us, including strength, determination and the courage to persevere. She was a wonderful mother who showed great patience and loved raising her children. She loved the Lord and was a Godly, virtuous woman. The lord has taken her home where she is restored and forever young.
We love you mom and will see you again.
She is survived by two daughters; Darlene Wheatley, of Warrenburg, Missouri and Nicklette Lange of Overland Park, Kansas; one son, Perry Wheatley of Overland Park, Kansas; five grandchildren, Steven Boswell Jr., Amber Dawn Bradbury, Joy Violet Matthews, Greg Alan Gipson and Kelly Sue Fiorella; Great-grandchildren; Morgan Boswell, Steven (Aleshia) Boswell and their children Makenzie, Justin and Stephen, Amber Bradbury, her children Memphis Bradbury and Miles Bradbury; Joy Mathews and her children Atlas Matthews, Hazel Matthews and Leo Matthews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Justin Earl Wheatley.
