Mr. Coleman R. Wheatley, age 63, of Seaford, Delaware passed peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 surrounded by his family in his home.
Born in Seaford, Delaware, a son of Naomi Hartman and Robert Lee Wheatley, he was one of three children.
Prior to retirement, Coleman was a master plumber working in both residential and commercial construction for over 30 years.
Coleman was an artist, known for his drawings of his family and portraits. He loved the outdoors, especially the mountains, where he often went for hunting trips. Many a fall season, he was deer hunting, and enjoyed the archery and small game seasons with rabbit and squirrel. Coleman often used his clay pigeon practice to improve his accuracy for the hunting trips. He enjoyed all types of fishing whether it be the mountain trout streams or on the deep sea for big fish in the ocean. Coleman even enjoyed just mowing his yard. He especially loved time spent with his family, grandchildren and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Brenda J. Robinson Wheatley; his two daughters, Brandy Wheatley and Jennifer, wife of Scott Massey; his eight grandchildren,Justus, Jeramy, Jonathan, Scott, Stephanie, Jeadon, Robert, and Rachel, his two great grandchildren, Landyn and Ayden; and his beloved dog, RIP. He will be greatly missed, not only by his family but also by friends and neighbors who enjoyed his unforgettable sense of humor."
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services.
