Mr. Sulaiman J. Kargbo

Mr. Sulaiman John Kargbo, age 75, of Newark, Delaware passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at Christiana Care Hospital, Newark Delaware.
Born in Makeni, Sierra Leone in West Africa, a son of Yanoh Fallah Koroma and Kaparr Kargbo. John immigrated to the United States in the mid 1980s and finally settled in Delaware. He was a devout Catholic and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in downtown Wilmington.
Prior to retirement, John worked in banking with MBNA America Bank then acquired by Bank of America for over 25+ years. After retirement Sulaiman went to work in the Delaware School District for several years.
He always stayed current watching CNN News, especially keeping up to date with international events coming from his home country Sierra Leone. John always had a deep connection to his culture and had deep connections to the Sierra Leonean community here in the tri-state area. He was a friendly, joyful, kind and extroverted personality always inspiring his children and others to learn and focus on better themselves through education.
Sulaiman is survived by his two daughters, Fredina and Judith Kargbo.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services.
