Mr. Roosevelt Gray, age 91, of Trainer, Delaware County, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Accentcare Hospice Suites, Christiana Care Wilmington, Delaware.
Born in Newark, Delaware, a son of Emma Harper and James Dupree. He was raised in Port Deposit Maryland and later formerly lived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and having been stationed in Germany during the Korean Conflict era. Prior to retirement, Roosevelt worked as a laundry plant supervisor. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the sport of baseball in general. Roosevelt was a kegler in bowling for many years. He is survived by his son, Richard Myers Sr, companion of Tiffany Slaughenhaupt; his grandchildren Richard Myers Jr, Jordan Myers and Kiersten Myers and many nieces and nephews and other relatives. He also is survived by 5 children he proudly raised as his own with Shirley Myers (Patrick) for many years; Sherry Chandler (Myers), Bennie Myers, Marilyn Mayo (Myers), Jeff Myers and James Myers. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services. Services are private.
