Sharon Kate Herron Wheatley
November 12th, 1951 - October 20th, 2025
On the evening of October 20th, 2025, Sharon Wheatley passed peacefully in her home in Cumberland Gap, TN. Sharon was 73 years old. She was accompanied by her dear friend and caregiver, Krissy Martin.
Sharon was born in 1951 to parents Edith R. Herron and Robert Lee Herron. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis; both parents; several brothers and sisters, Orville Herron, Bob Herron, Darell Herron, Larry Herron, Gary Herron, Imogene Feaster, and Wanda Holland; and nephew, James Bollin.
Sharon was married to Dennis Wheatley, the love of her life, on March 16th, 1993. Sharon and Dennis enjoyed 21 years of married life together before his passing in 2014. Sharon and Dennis were baptized on the same day April 10th, 1994, by Bobby Johnson. This signified the love they both shared for each other and for Christ.
Sharon is survived by her son, Kevin Riddle; adopted daughter, Anne Hatfield; granddaughters, Margo (Tyler) Hatfield and De-Anda (Donald) Shaver; great grandchildren, River Hatfield and Elizabeth Shaver; many cousins; nieces, Joyce Yoakum, nephews, as well as her beloved dog, Bobo.
