Roy A. Leach, 84, of Harrogate, Tennessee passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Claiborne Medical Center in Tazewell. He was born on September 17, 1941 in Harlan, Kentucky and was the son of the late Bill and Essie Lawson Leach. Roy attended the Church of God Mountain Assembly in Middlesboro and faithfully served his country, retiring as a First Sergeant from the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his sons, Timothy Leach and Roy Eugene Leach.
Roy was survived by his wife of 18 years, Alma Guy Leach; children, Rich Leach and wife Lisa, Joseph Leach and wife, Cathy, Patricia Blackwood and husband, Brian, Danny Baker, Eugene Baker and wife, Geraldine, Becky Traub and husband, Richard, Stephen Baker, and Jeffrey Baker and wife, Kim; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Maxwell; brothers, Wendell Leach and wife, Shirley, and Ronnie Leach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 18 at Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Rev. Michael Padgett. Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Cemetery in LaFollette with full military honors presented by the Campbell County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 PM until funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, which is honored to be serving the Leach family.
