Booker T. Thomas, III, 60, passed away on Friday, August 15th, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, August 22nd, 2025 at 1 pm at First Progressive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Booker T. Thomas, III was born July 19th, 1965 to Booker T. Thomas, Jr. and Donna Davis. Booker attended Estacado High School, where he excelled in football. He was an outgoing individual and family oriented. Being around his family brought him a lot of joy!
Booker took pride in his appearance, he was very confident in himself. Booker was very direct and not afraid to speak his mind. He was full of life. He enjoyed having a good time. Booker liked working on cars and was a good cook, over the years he enjoyed Jakes Sport Café and Caprock Café. Booker had five children that he adored.
Booker is preceded in death by his mother Donna Grant, his son Jared T. Thomas, grandson Cordae Austin, and his brother Terricks Thomas.
Booker leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father Booker T. Thomas, Jr., his grandmother Ruby Davis, his daughters Jasmine Thomas, Katrina Thomas, and Kristi Hill, his son Tyson Thomas, his sisters Prell Thomas, Tiffany Brown (Arthur), Vanessa Cooks (George), and Myra Thomas, his brothers David Thomas, Parrish Carter, and Reginald Fountain, 10 grandchildren, 2 honorary grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
