Boski Diane Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Beth Israel Memorial Chapel - Boynton Beach on Sep. 2, 2024.
Services are pending with Beth Israel Memorial Chapel - Boynton Beach.Diane Louise Boski, 76, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Plainfield, CT, died peacefully surrounded by her immediate family on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Delray Medical Center. Diane was born on December 13, 1947 in Worcester, MA to the late Abraham and Elizabeth (Golub) Kaplan and grew up in Worcester, MA, Webster, MA, and Plainfield, CT. Diane attended Bartlett High School in Webster, MA and the Rittners School of Floral Design in Boston, MA, and began embarking on her lifelong floral career.
In her early career, Diane worked as a floral designer in Milford, MA, Framingham, MA and Holliston, MA before relocating to Plainfield, CT in 1985, establishing and opening the Flower Gallery, a successful floral and gift shop, operating the shop until her retirement. Diane excelled in not only her floral skills but in touching many lives throughout her career, always sharing her customers' joy, sorrow, and indelibly touching their lives.
Upon retirement, her growing dislike for cold weather (particularly snow) lead Diane to seek a warmer climate in Florida and in doing so, found far more than a house- she found an entire community that felt like home and became a second family in Cascades Lakes. She loved living in Cascade Lakes and the so many dear friends that she made there. Always quick with a smile and to help, and a zest for life, Diane truly enjoyed all that Cascade Lakes had to offer. She particularly loved pottery, painting, the time spent teaching exercise class with "the posse", and walking (sometimes miles per day) within the community. Diane's legacy is one of kindness, warmth and generosity-traits that endeared her to all that knew her. She will be missed by all the lives that she touched.
Along with her parents, Diane was predeceased by her sisters Eleanor Garber of Sturbridge, MA and Carol Fuchs of Silver Springs, MD. She is survived by her husband, Daniel J. Boski of Boynton Beach, FL; brothers Authur (Rhoda) Kaplan of Uncasville, CT and Paul (JoAn) Kaplan of Providence, RI and Highland Beach, FL; a son, Craig (Lori) Rogoff of Moodus, CT; a daughter, Karen Rogoff of Waltham, MA; a granddaughter, Rebekah (Dylan) Hassell of Middletown, CT; a grandson Benjamin Rogoff of Meriden, CT, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. An orthodox Jewish burial service will be conducted at the South Florida Jewish Cemetery, 6081 S. Congress Ave., Lake Worth, FL on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Shiva observation will be at 5179 Clover Creek Drive on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, as follows: 2:00-4:00 PM and 7:00-9:00 PM.Diane Louise Boski, 76, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Plainfield, CT, died peacefully surrounded by her immediate family on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at the Delray Medical Center.
