Karen Diane Nutz passed away on Nov. 1, 2024 and was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior and Lord into heaven. Karen was born in Bismarck, N.D. on August 26, 1946 to Leo and Alma Strecker. Karen grew up in Underwood, N.D. and married Curtis Nutz on August 10, 1969 where they made Underwood their home for most of their life. Melissa was born to them on August 6, 1973. Karen graduated from Minot University and was a 4th grade teacher for 30 years. Karen and Curtis enjoyed traveling all over the United States and camping with family in North Dakota. After retirement, Karen and Curtis moved to Queen Creek, Arizona in 2005 with Melissa and Jason. Jack Curtis Karlovic was born on October 31, 2006 and was the joy of her life! She enjoyed entertaining people in her home, often with dinner parties and game nights. She was a wonderful cook and baker and she always made sure you never left hungry and had treats for the road. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Curtis. Karen is survived by her brother, Alan Strecker and sister-in-law; Judy, daughter; Melissa Karlovic, son-in-law; Jason and grandson; Jack.
A Visitation will be held from 1-2pm, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery.
Funeral Service will be at 2pm, Wednesday, November 6, 2024 the interment to follow at Mountain View Funeral Home and Cemetery located at 7900 East Main Street, Mesa, Arizona 85207.
