Boyce Edward Dobson

O B I T U A R Y

Boyce Edward Dobson of Summersville, Kentucky, son of the late Melvin Dobson and Lera Vaughn Dobson, was born on Monday, April 6, 1942 in Green County and departed this life on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Nortons Hospital in Louisville. He was 83 years, 10 months, and 20 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Allendale Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years. He previously worked as a welder for Henry Vogt Machine Company and was a farmer. Boyce was a member of the William B. Allen Masonic Lodge #704 F&AM.

He was united in marriage to Juanita C. Berry Dobson on April 29, 1961, who preceded him in death on March 24, 2025.

Survivors include a son: Frankie Dobson of Summersville; daughter-in-law: Tina Dobson of Summersville; two grandchildren: Brennan Dobson and Rachelyn of LaGrange, Wesley Dobson and Taylor of Summersville; two great-grandchildren: Rylie Dobson of LaGrange, Charlotte Dobson of Summersville; special friends: Greg and Tammy Morgan of Green County; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Besides his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his son: Dwayne Dobson, on December 26, 2019.

The funeral service for Boyce Edward Dobson will be conducted at 2 P.M., Central Time, Sunday, March 1, 2026 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Whitlow Cemetery. Bro. Justin Dial officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 P.M., Central Time, Saturday at the funeral home and after 7 A.M., Central Time, Sunday until time of the service.

A Masonic Service will be conducted at 6 P.M., Central Time, Saturday by the William B. Allen Lodge at the funeral home. All master masons meet at the funeral home at 5:30 P.M., Central Time.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Whitlow Cemetery Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
