Boyce Alexander Nance

Boyce Alexander Nance, age 90, passed away January 18, 2026 at Hillside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wake Forest. Boyce was born on November 14, 1935, in Richmond County, NC and was the son of the late Claude Alexander Nance and Mary Elizabeth Nance. Mr. Nance was a member of Wake Union Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Chapel at Bright Funeral Home.

Mr. Nance is survived by his son, Greg Nance and wife, Cindy of Wake Forest; daughter, Karen Powell and husband, Stuart of Wake Forest; brother, Robert Nance of Garner, NC. Grandchildren include Grayson Nance, Christian Nance, Brandon Nance, Abby Nance, Sarah Armstrong (husband, Matt) and Graham Powell. Step-grandchildren Carter Alls and Brady Alls; Great-grandchildren Ellie Armstrong, Ethan Armstrong and Aubrey Rose Taylor.

Mr. Nance was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Massey Nance, son, Anthony Nance, brother, Bill Nance and sister, Judy Nance.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Hillside Nursing and Rehab as well as Transitions Life Hospice Care for the care given to their father/grandfather.
