Boyd Allen Howsley went to be with his lord and savior on November 14, 2023. He was born in Freeport, Texas. He grew up in Houston Texas spending most of those years in the Woodland Heights Area having many a great adventure and making many great friends along the way. His father taught him the trade of mechanics working side by side. During his father's illness, Boyd stayed by his side until his passing.
He then came to Brenham to be near the rest of his family where he decided it was time to put his auto experience to a newfound use as a Car Salesman and he found his true calling. He found his dealership family at Tegeler Toyota and was there for 20 years often saying he couldn't imagine working anywhere else. Boyd had this great ability to remember every detail about everyone he knew and treated all his customers like they were his own family.
Although he didn't sing with any great ability or play an instrument his soul was made of music. There were few things in life that meant more to him. The greatest joys of his life by far were his children. He raised his children here, met his beautiful partner here and this became his forever home.
Boyd was survived by his mother Mary Ann Dewar, son Caden Howsley, daughter Albrie Reed, sister and brother in law Sherryl and Thomas Plagens, sister Jacqueline Hiett, sister Stephanie Eiland, sister Suzanne Eller, sister Vicci Gilles, sister Kristin Tips, Partner of the last 10 years Susan Balke, 14 nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Tiger. He was preceded in death by his father, Buddy Howsley and sister, Pamela Howsley.
