James Ray Hoefelmeyer, 62, was born September 13, 1963 in Washington County to Herman and Ella Mae (Schroeder) Hoefelmeyer.
James was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Tammie Sue Hoefelmeyer, nephew; Christopher Hoefelmeyer, brothers-in-law; Wallace Tomczak, Alfred Dallmeyer and Roy Bethel, and sister-in-law; Mary Jane "Jeanie" Hoefelmeyer. He is survived by his siblings; Edwin Hoefelmeyer and his wife Debra, Clara Tomczak, Ella Mae Dallmeyer and Caroline Bethel, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for James will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 2:00 pm at St. John Lutheran Cemetery-Prairie Hill located at 6605 Old Independence Rd., Brenham, Texas. Pastor Norm Sulaica Jr. will be officiating the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Cody Hoefelmeyer and Billy Joe Hoefelmeyer.
