Bradford “Brad” Todd Smeltz, age 25, of Mechanicsburg died in a motorcycle accident on Friday, August 22, 2025. Born December 12, 1999 in Harrisburg, PA, he was a son of Todd Bradford and Carol (Putt) Smeltz of Mechanicsburg. He was the loving soul mate of Cassandra “Sandy” Bolton of New Cumberland. Words cannot describe how much Brad will be missed. He brightened the lives of everyone he touched and lit up a room with his presence. He was a loving, supportive, and inspirational son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend.

Brad had a love for the outdoors which he wove into his work and play and he approached every activity with passion and pride. He was a landscaping crew leader at Lawnscapes, Inc. in Mechanicsburg, PA and a snow maker at Ski Roundtop. He enjoyed hiking, fly fishing, skiing, bird watching, hunting, and arboring. He found peace in the mountains, along a trout stream, at the beach, and staring into the night sky. Brad also had a love for music. He could play a variety of guitars and sing to music of all genres. In addition, Brad loved the challenge of working on his cars and motorcycles.

Brad was a 2018 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and Cumberland Perry Vo-tech.

Surviving in addition to his parents are his brother, Benjamin Guy Smeltz; his maternal grandparent, Cathy A Putt of Enola, PA; his uncles, Timothy S Smeltz, of Lancaster, PA, John R (Robin) Putt, of Perdix, PA and Craig Erdman of Harrisburg, PA; aunts, Darlene Smeltz, of Mount Joy, PA and Keri-Beth Putt and (Brett) Urich of West Fairview, PA; and numerous cousins. He is predeceased by his three grandparents, Raymond "Ray" Smeltz, Marion Smeltz, and Jack S. Putt; and his aunt, Christine (Smeltz) Erdman.

All are welcome to join Brad’s family at his celebration of life open house and gathering of family and friends on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a time of remembrance at 2:00 p.m. at Buhrig’s Gathering Place, 25 East Main Street, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055, (717) 766-3421 (next to Buhrig Funeral & Cremation); with Celebrant George Spangler officiating.
