Bradley Cowie Obituary

Bradley Steven Cowie, 66, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on June 23, 2025.

He was born in DuBois on January 9, 1959, a son of the late William Cowie and Phyllis (Towkarsik) Cowie.

He was a graduate of DuBois Area High School.

On January 21, 1978, he married his best friend, Helen Louise McKee. They enjoyed forty-seven years of marriage together.

He worked in the logging business for many years and liked to be outdoors.

In his free time, Brad enjoyed riding motorcycles and working on vehicles.

His heart was always soft for the "underdog" in life and always looked out for them.

In addition to his wife, Helen, he is survived by one brother, Brian Keith Cowie of Ridgway; and his father in-law, Jaye McKee of DuBois (formerly of the Troutville area.)

He was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law, Marilyn McKee.

Friends will be received on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Big Run.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Eloise Kosko.

His ashes will be interred at the Troutville Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery.
