Mr. Bradley Alex Joyce, age 52 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. He was born in Patrick County on November 29, 1973. He was preceded in death by his father, James Lloyd Joyce; stepfather, Doug Cockram; maternal grandmother, Myrtle Gregory; and paternal grandparents, Watson and Georgia Joyce. Bradley worked for several years for the Virginia Department of Transportation. He enjoyed working on his farm and riding four-wheelers. Bradley dearly loved his family and felt happiest when he was spending time with them.

Left to cherish the memories of Bradley are his wife, René Barnard Joyce of the home; his mother, Dena Gregory Cockram of Stuart; one brother, Kevin Joyce (Diana) of Radford; one sister, Amanda Joyce Cassell (Dewayne) of Meadows of Dan; one brother-in-law, Jason Barnard (Elizabeth Tilley); two nieces, Reagan Joyce and Lilly Joyce; two nephews, Dalton Joyce and Hayden Joyce; one aunt, Connie Nunn (Norman) of Stuart; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tom and Marcia Barnard of Stuart; and beloved dog, Frito.

A graveside service for Bradley will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in Snow Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lawsonville, North Carolina, with Pastor Danny Redman and Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Flowers will be accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1079C Spruce Street, Martinsville, VA 24112. Moody Funeral Home in Stuart has been entrusted with the arrangements, and online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
