Thelma Oneda Hooker Puckett

Mrs. Thelma Oneda Hooker Puckett, age 82 of Vesta, VA passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was born in Patrick County on October 2, 1943, to Millard Hooker and Vera Marshall Hooker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Renae Willard; grandson, Timothy Alan Willard; one sister, Lessie Smart; two brothers, Lloyd Hooker, and Junior Hooker.

Mrs. Puckett retired from United Elastic Corporation with 33 years of service. She loved going to church and worshiping the Lord at Vesta Pentecostal Holiness Church, singing gospel music with her church family and her family. She had a passion and love for caring for her animals. Everybody that met her loved her and her contagious sweet smile.

Mrs. Puckett is survived by her husband of 63 years, Martin Puckett of the home; one daughter and son-in-law; Joyce Greene (Ronald) of Meadows of Dan, VA; one great-granddaughter, Willow Marie Davis of Ridgeway, VA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Puckett will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Vesta Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Ronald Thomas officiating.
