It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bradley Lathrop Moore, who left this world on May 17, 2025, at the age of 49. Born on August 17, 1975, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Brad was a cherished son, a devoted dad, and a doting "Pops" to his grandkids. He spent his final moments in Norman, Oklahoma, surrounded by the love of his family.
Brad was preceded in death by his father, Lyle Hale Moore, whom he missed dearly. He is survived by his adoring mother, Wanda Darlene Moore; his three daughters, Taylor Ward (with her husband DJ), Kayle Aldana (with her husband Roberto), and Jayden Moore-who kept him on his toes and filled his heart; and by his favorite little humans, his grandchildren: Haven Ward, Nathan Ward, and Benjamin Aldana. If you asked him, being their Pops was the greatest gig of his life.
And then there are Arnie and Opal-his loyal pups, snuggle buddies, and favorite companions. Brad loved nothing more than cuddling up with them after a long day and playing their favorite games. Their unconditional love matched his own, and they brought him joy, peace, and plenty of slobbery kisses.
In his early adult years, Brad proudly served in the U.S. Army, where he learned discipline, courage, and probably some creative ways to fold laundry-which he later forgot. His commitment to service was matched only by his dedication to his family. Nothing lit him up more than spending time with his girls and grandkids-whether it was goofing off, giving big hugs, or showing off his (questionable but enthusiastic) dance moves.
Brad was not only a family man but also a man of many passions. He was an accomplished golfer and loved being a part of the VGA, relishing in the camaraderie and competition. He enjoyed fishing, playing poker, shooting pool, and recently indulged in his hobby of buying fun cars, snazzy bikes, and building model planes. Travel was another great joy of his, and he appreciated golf for providing him the opportunity to explore new places and create lasting memories with loved ones.
Known as the goofiest guy in the room, Brad had a remarkable ability to make everyone laugh, often at his own expense. His playful spirit and light-hearted nature brought joy to countless gatherings, and he was always down for a fun time and a cold beer. Underneath that goofball exterior was a heart as big as his personality-he was always there for his people and would do anything for those he cared about.
A celebration of Brad's life will be held at Hidden Trails Golf & Country Club on May 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Friends and family are welcome to join in honoring a man who lived life to the fullest and brought happiness to so many. In lieu of flowers, Brad would have loved for those wishing to honor him to donate to Folds of Honor, an organization close to his heart.
As we remember Brad, let's remember him the way he would want us to: smiling through the tears, telling a good story, never turning down a cold beer, and always making room in the bed for the dogs. His love, laughter, and legendary dad jokes will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his beloved family and friends.
