Bradley Berl Priebe, the son of Gary Carl and Jennifer (Hahne) Priebe, was born on April 4, 1972 in Algona, Iowa. He graduated from Algona High School in 1990. After High School, he attended Des Moines Area Community College and received an Associate's Degree in Diesel Engineering. On October 14, 1995, Brad was united in marriage to Brenda Lee Simmons at the Algona First Congregational Church. Together, they had four children: Maddie, Michaela, Mitchell, and Maci. Brad loved farming, raising cattle, hunting, and target practicing. He could often be found working on his vehicles or anything that had an engine. He enjoyed drag racing in Humboldt, truck pulling, off roading, spending time with his grandkids and spending time at the lake on his jet ski.
Brad took a lot of pride in his work on the farm and was passionate about doing the job right. To him, it was not just a job – the farm was his life. He was proud to teach the next generations about the work and perseverance it takes to keep everything running smoothly, and to keep the cattle properly cared for. He was looking forward to seeing his grandkids grow up around the farm.
Brad was a friend to many and a stranger to few. From a young age, he had a natural gift for connecting with people and made many friends along the way. If he was in a tractor or combine, he was most likely talking on the phone or two-way. He had a giving heart and cared deeply about those close to him.
Left to cherish Brad's memory is his wife of 29 years, Brenda; children, Maddie (Justin) Raymond of Burt, Michaela (McCain) Jennings of Whittemore, Mitchell (Hailey Schmidt) Priebe of Algona, and Maci Priebe of Algona; grandchildren, Rhett and Reagan Raymond and Caden Jennings; mother, Jennifer Priebe of Algona; sister, Cyndi (Dwight) Martin of Norwalk and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Priebe; father-in-law, Darold Simmons; grandparents, Berl and Madelyn Priebe and Richard and Louise Hahne; and great niece, Amari Rae Newman.
