Bradley Teis Obituary

Published by Legacy on Aug. 6, 2022.
Bradley A. Teis Sr., age 68, passed away on August 3, 2022. He was born in Canton, OH on March 6, 1954 to the late Donald and Shirley Teis. After retiring from the Hoover company, Brad was able to devote more of his time, to the many people and activities he cared for. Brad was a proud Navy veteran and an active member of American Legion Post 44. He worked diligently in all positions of his post and was recently elected to to the position of Department of Ohio Commander. His work with the American Legion allowed him to travel and expand his community. Brad was very active in the community, working the Chamber of Commerce with the Hall of Fame and planning his class reunions. Brad truly cared for others, supporting veterans in hospitals and nursing facilities; and working as a volunteer fireman in North Canton. He was known as an avid golfer. He would also play softball/fumbleball as well as coach, referee, and umpire. Brad touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Roxanne Teis; children, Bradley Teis Jr., Michael (Megan) Teis, Brittany (fiancé, Sean Ferguson) Murdick; Ryan Teis; grandchildren, Stella Teis, Gavin Teis; siblings, Susan Evanoff, Nancy (Danny) Stangelo; and several nieces and nephews.

To the family of Brad Teis,
I´ve had the honor of serving with Brad over the past 10 years as he and his American Legion Post 44 brothers provided Veterans Day services at Aultman Woodlawn/ Compassionate Care Center. Brad was always there for our Hospice patients bringing them fond memories of their times spent in the Armed Forces. It was not unusual to see him shed a tear at their bedside as he saluted each one with respect. Brad will always be remembered for his gift of genuine compassion, a heart of service and his love for God, family and country. See you on the other side Brad.
