Brady Dennis Carelock

Brady Dennis Carelock, 69, of Mint Hill, died May 22, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville, NC.
Brady was born in Augusta, GA, on July 23, 1955, the son of Brady and Mildred Moses Carelock. Throughout life, Brady was into many things. He was blessed to do about anything he wanted, from owning a carpet cleaning business for a time to operating a skidsteer and dumptruck, to running a landscaping business.
When not working, Brady enjoyed playing golf and going to the lake. He had a drag boat that he built and enjoyed not only the time putting it together but taking it out on the water. In fact, if it could go fast, he was into it. Cars, motorcycles, old hot rods, the faster and louder, the better it was!
Faith was also important to him. A member of Hickory Grove Baptist, Brady was a big believer in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. His love of his Lord was up there with his love of family and friends, and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Brady is survived by his sons: Branden Carelock of Locust, NC, and Cody Carelock of Midland, NC; and three grandchildren: Brennen, Brady and Adalyn. He is further survived by the mother of his children, Darnell Teal, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Brady was preceded by his parents and his brothers, Michael and Johnny.
Brady's family has given their friends at Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. A service celebrating his life will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in the funeral home chapel, 4715 Margaret Wallace Road, Matthews, NC 28105. Friends may call upon the family from noon until the time of service.
