Brady Alan Mullins, age 27, passed away on Sunday, November 3, 2024, as the result of an ATV accident. Brady was preceded in death by his beloved father, Alan Corey Mullins, on November 2, 2014; maternal grandparents, Joyce Atkins (Roy) and Sonny King; special great-aunt, Marie Brubaker; and special great-grandmother, Viola Brubaker, along with a number of other family members.
Our beloved Brady lived life to the fullest and could learn to do pretty much anything he set his mind to. He was a talented pool player and also enjoyed hunting, shooting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle and side-by-side, and he was always up for learning something new. In recent years he had especially enjoyed weekends spent at his mom’s with family around him and time to enjoy the outdoors where he loved to be. He always felt at home with his mama and family. His mama loved him dearly and her prayers covered him throughout his whole life.
Brady worked hard, loved deeply, and had a kind soul that led him to always want to help people. His warm, friendly nature was appreciated by friends and family alike, and he treasured his time with both. Brady and his sister, Karly, cherished each other deeply and shared a bond that was important to both of them. Brady also adored his niece and nephew, Kyla and Weston, and took such joy in spending time with them and finding them the best toys and presents.
We would be remiss if we did not also share about the love between Brady and his girlfriend, Tori. They had been through so much over the years, it was a joy to see them so happy and working their way to the life they imagined.
Brady did not always have an easy path as he navigated the grief of losing his father, but he took the lessons he learned from those he loved to heart to guide him as he found the strength to move forward, make the best of really hard situations, and build a life he was proud of. Likewise, his family and friends were so proud to know him, and he was loved by so many. He was so smart, and his natural curiosity made conversations with him so fun. His spark and his dry sense of humor were greatly enjoyed by those of us who loved him. Brady was often called upon to figure out how to fix one thing or another, and his love for – and care of – his Grandma Gracie and Papa Jesse was precious to them and to those of us who witnessed it. He loved his time living with them and spent a lot of time healing in their comforting presence.
We are heartbroken that we did not get to keep Brady here with us longer, but we know that he is with his daddy and so many others who have gone before us, and we will always feel grateful for the opportunity to see him again one day. Brady, we will see you on the other side of the stars.
Brady is survived by his mother, Sonya Mullins (Pete Aheron and his daughter Heidi); his sister, Karly Mullins (Anthony Martin) and their children, Kyla and Weston Martin; his companion and the love of his life, Tori Givens; paternal grandparents, Jesse and Gracie Mullins; paternal aunt, Amy Holley; cousin, Sarah Sledd (Caleb) and Baby Sledd; maternal aunts, Catina Wright, Nikki Dillon Heflin (Cameron), Jessica Bean (Kyle); uncle Elvis Wright; cousins, Joshua and Madison Wright, Callie and Cate Heflin, and Reese Brunner. He is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Antioch Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tom Hooks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Brady’s family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
