Brainard "BJ" Conley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of BJ Conley, 79, who left us

on January 9, 2026, at the V. A. Medical Center in West Roxbury. He was a proud

veteran of the United States Navy.

He was the son of the late Stephanie Lewkowicz Conley and Brainard F. Conley.

BJ was born on December 13, 1946, in Boston, Massachusetts, and grew up in Rowley.

BJ had a passion for adventure and living his life to the fullest. Whether he was

on the boat and enjoying the river with friends, skiing many days and countless

mountains in the Northeast, or hiking and walking, he was always seeking out

new experiences and adventures. He cherished his travels to many of his

favorite places, especially southern France, Nice, and Monaco. He loved to see

the old buildings and architecture these places had to offer.

BJ is survived by his three sisters, Martha Collins and husband Jack of Rowley,

Paula Fuls and Jeff Minter of Mississippi, and Sheila Bodnaruk and husband

Werner of Connecticut. He is also loved by a close extended family of nieces and

nephews, as well as close friends. He was predeceased by his brothers Kevin and

Neal and a sister Eileen Bilodeau.

The family extends heartfelt thanks and sincerest gratitude to the exceptional

doctors and staff at the V.A. Medical Center who devoted their time and care to BJ

throughout many years. In accordance with the family's wishes, memorials will be held

privately at a later date.
