Brandon Edric Arney, 48, of Fairview, Tennessee, passed away on August 8, 2025. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on August 2, 1977, to Eddie and Darlene, and was raised with the love and guidance of his mother and stepfather, Darlene and Greg Stringfellow, and his father and stepmother, Eddie and Karla Arney.
Brandon was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. In 2000 he married the love of his life and beloved wife of 25 years, Kayce Arney, and soon they welcomed their three wonderful children, Karlee Gaines (Tyler), Shae Arney, and Brysen Arney. They were his greatest pride and joy. Brandon’s family was the center of his life, and he spent countless hours loving, teasing, and keeping them closely connected.
As a proud Tennessean, Brandon’s heart belonged to Tennessee Volunteers Football, and he was a dedicated fan who rarely missed a game. He also loved NASCAR, and his yearly trips with his brothers and dad to a race. Brandon loved video games, and shared this passion with his son Brysen. He loved his yearly kayaking trips with his family, feeling most at home on the waters of the Harpeth River.
Brandon spent most of his career working alongside his father building houses before they both joined FedEx in 2012. At his local terminal, he was deeply respected and loved, always putting the needs of his coworkers before his own. His dedication to helping others extended into his community, during his years in Fairview, he served as a volunteer fireman and a member of the auxiliary police force.
In addition to his wife and children, Brandon is survived by his parents and step-parents; brothers Josh Stringfellow, Jacob Stringfellow, Dustin Arney, and Oliver Arney; sisters Emily Arney and Sallie Arney; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved to tease and adore. He is preceded in death by his beloved Nana Jean, Mimi Pearly Mae, Grandad Don, Memaw Pat and Pepaw Ken, and Grandpa Alyson. His surviving grandparents Jack Stone and Willie Mae Bonner will miss him dearly.
Known for his kind heart, sense of humor, and the way he lit up every room, Brandon will be remembered for the joy he brought to others and the love he gave so freely.
A celebration of life will be held on August 30, with more details to come.
