It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brandon Hines, a cherished husband and devoted father on September 13, 2025, at the age of 53.
Brandon lived a life marked by kindness, loyalty, and unwavering love for his beloved family and friends. His unlimited creativity and passion were so infectious and unmatched by anyone.
Brandon married the love of his life, Charine Mak in 2003, and together they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional support. As a father, he was endlessly patient, fiercely protective, and always present—whether helping with homework or simply offering a listening ear.
Brandon loved spending time with his family. He found joy in the simple things: playing video games with his son, Alex, going out to eat and watching movies with his family. His wisdom, humor, and gentle spirit touched everyone who knew him.
Brandon is survived by his wife Charine Mak, his son, Alexander Hines and a wide circle of family and friends who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude.
To celebrate Brandon’s life the family invites you to join them in sharing stories, your favorite memories on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 2:00pm-4:00pm at Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township with a Celebration of Life Service at 4:00pm.
