Brandon Michael Lancey, 52, of Fitchburg MA, passed away peacefully on Saturday,January 17, 2026 at Leominster Hospital surrounded by his loving family after a long illness.

Born May 20, 1973 in Leominster MA, he grew up in Lunenburg MA and attended Lunenburg Public Schools until moving to Fitchburg in 1987. Brandon went on to attend Tilton School in Tilton NH and graduated in 1992.

Brandon was the life of the party and made lifelong friends wherever he went. To know him was to love him. Brandon excelled at ice hockey and from a young age he was in a rink. He’d travel all over doing what he loved to do – play Hockey. While attending Tilton, he was a 3-sport athlete, playing Football, Ice Hockey and Lacrosse. Brandon loved spending time by the pool in the summer or spending time at the family trailer in York, Maine.

Brandon was a proud brother, who cherished his siblings. He fell in love with his little sister the moment he set eyes on her. He was her protector and always went over and above. In 2005, Brandon became an uncle, which was his biggest joy. He would go on to coach his nephew, in Ice Hockey and Dek Hockey. He was like a 2nd father to him, and they formed an unbreakable bond. His nephew was more than that, but his best friend. He enjoyed his car rides talking about the games with him, they’d travel to Niagara Falls for tournaments which were “boys’ trips”. Every single kid that Brandon coached loved him. He had a way about him, that the kids trusted and respected him. Brandon was his nephew’s biggest super fan when he wasn’t coaching him. Traveling to bothhome and away games. He would stay silent on the sidelines or in the stands, but you better believe that after the game he’d discuss it with him.

Brandon’s other best friend was his dog Ziggy who he formed such a bond with. They were one in the same. Brandon graciously allowed CeeCee, his other dog, to stay with him when his sister couldn’t take her and she affectionately became his. The “Big Kids” or “Bonnie and Clyde” were his partners in crime. He’d take them for their nightly car ride. Brandon met his long-time partner and never looked back. He would drive her crazy, but she would also bring him back down to reality. They’d sample wines and travel to a different place on the weekends for lunch just to try something new prior to him getting sick. They’d spend weekends in Maine or just take a drive in the morning to watch the sunrise and let the dogs run on the beach.

Those were the things Brandon loved and cared about – his dogs, his family and his friends. He was always willing to help a friend in need. He was always there when you needed him and even if he hadn’t spoken to you in years, it didn’t matter because you’d pick up right where you stopped the last time you were together. The loss of Brandon will forever stay in our hearts but knowing that he is no longer fighting an uphill battle provides some comfort. He was a fighter and he had a good fight.

Brandon leaves behind his loving partner, Heather Gordon, His Fur Babies, Ziggy and CeeCee, His Mother, Wendy (Pepin) Carlisle and her partner, Steve Coe from N. Fort Myers, FL, His Brother, Corey Lancey of Fitchburg MA, His Sister, Holly (Carlisle) Mickey and her Husband, Jeromy from Fitchburg, His Nephew, Cameron Begnoche (Fitchburg), as well extended family and so many friends.

He is predeceased by his Fathers, Cameron Carlisle and David Lancey, His Grandparents, Michael & Janet Spadafora and his Uncles, Gary Spadafora and William (Billy) Pepin.

The Family will have a Celebration for Brandon’s Life at a later date.
