Brandon Morris Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by DeRoo Funeral Home on Jan. 6, 2026.
Brandon Lee Morris, 26, of Moline, passed away Friday, January 2, 2026, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at DeRoo Funeral Home, 1811 15th Street Place, Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to QC Paws.

Brandon was born on March 28, 1999, in Rock Island, the son of Diane (Cruse) Plotner and Robert Lee Morris.

Brandon was an avid movie watcher and gamer. He was a picky eater but he had close friends that made him step out of his comfort zone and go to new places to eat with them. He would always order a burger.

Brandon was somewhat timid on occasion, but he enjoyed having special times with family and friends. He could light up a room with his awesome smile.

He was a kind and caring son, brother and grandson who devoted his efforts to helping with some of the smaller household tasks of daily living. To us he was a "Technical Wizard" who provided the support we needed for our computers and/or smartphones. He would readily show up at our door to be of assistance. He has so many good qualities that will make him a very special Angel.

Survivors include his mother, Diane Plotner; sister, Amber (Zachery) Clain; half-brother, Nick (Sara) Plotner; grandmother, Maxine Cruse; nieces and nephews, Xavier, Olivia, Ellie, Trevor, Abigail, Owen and Marisa, aunt & uncle, Linda and Kenny James and cousin, Danielle, Friends and special coworkers. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert and grandfather, Charles. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.deroofuneralhome.com.
