Brandon Stephen Savoie, age 38, of Taylor, Michigan passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
Born on May 2, 1986 in Lincoln Park, Michigan, he was the son of Joseph and Tammy (Theisen) Savoie.
Brandon was employed for many years as a Gutter Technician with Allied Gutter, where he excelled in his position. He took immense pride in his work, often sharing before-and-after photos of the homes he worked on and the progress he made. Brandon worked long hours without complaint, always showing a dedication to his craft. He was proud of the trade he learned and loved working hard to achieve excellence.
Brandon became a Christian and stepped forward in a Believer's Baptism on September 21, 2022. He was so excited to become a Christian and when he returned home from rehab he loved attending Metro City Church, and often invited others to attend with him.
Brandon had a deep love for the outdoors. On almost any given summer day, you could find him fishing or swimming at Spring Mill Pond. Fearless in spirit, he swam across the pond and dove as deep as he could to explore its waters. He spent countless hours fishing with his best friend, Steve, and loved catching bass, walleye, and perch in Michigan's lakes and rivers. His love for nature extended beyond fishing; he cherished the time spent walking his dog, Lloyd, along various trails, creating memories that will live on forever.
His connection to animals was truly special. Just the week before his passing, he had signed up to volunteer at the Detroit Animal Shelter, a testament to his kind and giving nature. He had an incredible gift for connecting with animals, and his love for them was boundless.
In addition to his love for the outdoors, Brandon was passionate about playing guitar, listening to music, and enjoying video games. Saturday afternoons were often spent relaxing with his dad, playing video games, and making each other laugh. Brandon had a goofy, lighthearted nature that always made those around him feel at ease. His karaoke rendition of "I Believe in a Thing Called Love" by The Darkness was legendary. His joy in sharing his mom's famous biscuits and gravy recipe with his dad will be forever cherished by his family. He also made a habit of sending his mom daily video updates, always checking in and reminding her that he loved her. Brandon was a tough guy-he was not afraid of anything or anyone and was deeply loyal to those in his life. He had a heart of gold and would go to great lengths to protect and support the people he loved. Through it all, he was an exemplary son and brother, showing love and support despite the challenges he faced in his life.
More than anything, Brandon had a heart for helping others. He fought hard in his battle with addiction and was immensely proud of the work he did in helping others through their recovery. Many men in recovery turned to Brandon for support, and his kindness and encouragement helped them stay when they were on the verge of giving up. His compassion extended far beyond his work in recovery-he was always there to lend a hand, whether it was shoveling snow off a neighbor's car, helping his parents, or simply being a safe space for anyone in need. His selflessness and willingness to help others will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his father, Joseph Savoie, mother, Tammy Savoie, brother, Ryan Savoie, sister, Amy (Ernest III) Fabian, nephew, Ernest Fabian, IV.
