Newport, & formerly Lyndonville, VT: Brandy Lynn Marshall, age 32, died suddenly in Newport, VT, Sunday, November 19, 2023.
Brandy was born in Claremont, NH, on August 23, 1991, and was raised there in the Upper Valley of NH & VT, moving to the Northeast Kingdom with her family during her childhood years. She has resided in Newport for the past 3 months.
Brandy was a very hard worker, tended bar at McGillicuddy’s in Middlesex, the Whiskey Den in St. Johnsbury, the American Legion, Hoagies in Lyndonville and most recently as a case worker with NECKA. She enjoyed going to concerts, the beach, playing cornhole, being with friends by the campfires, travelling and seeing new places, riding motorcycles and was a member of the Broken Jokers riding club. Brandy participated in the Demo Derby at the fair, coming in 3rd last year and 2nd this year. Her friends were very special to her, and she was always there for them. She loved them all very much, but her number one focus was always her kids.
Brandy is survived by her mother, Danette Bashaw (David Blouin) of Lyndonville, her children: Jasmine and Esmarie Forthun, Phoenix and Bradley Burnett all of Newport, VT, her maternal grandmother: Cheryl Murphy of Lyndonville, maternal grandfather: Ronald Marshall (Marilyn) of Canada, her siblings: Cassandra Bashaw, Cody Bashaw, Shauna Murphy all of VT, Christopher Swanstrom of MA, 2 half-sisters: Kassandra Donovan of RI and Karlie Bortlein of NH, uncles: Shaine Marshall (Tiffany), Greg Marshall (Helen), Reneé Marshall (Bill), and several more aunts, uncles and cousins.
Friends may call on the family from 5-7PM Sunday, November 26, 2023, at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home, 15 Main Street in Lyndonville. A Celebration of Life will be held from 5-10PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Breslin Center in Lyndonville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses at this link.
