Brenda Bax

Brenda Ray Bax, affectionately known as Brenda to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2021, in Jackson, TN, after an extended illness. Born in the heartwarming Blue Goose Community on July 24, 1951, Brenda's radiant spirit and joyous heart touched countless lives throughout her 74 years.
Brenda's journey began as a daughter, grew into that of a sister, blossomed into a loving wife and mother, and later flourished as a doting grandmother and great-grandmother. She shared many beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Michael Bax, who stood by her side with unwavering support and love. She raised two sons, Jason Browning (Orlando) and Greg Browning (Stacie). Her sister, Kay Anderson, and brother-in-law, Bobby, shared in the laughter and love that Brenda spread so effortlessly. She was a beacon of light in the lives of her grandchildren, Tori Mayo (Joshua), Kori Browning, Deandre Gant, Anthony Shaffer, and Devin Cochran. Brenda also cherished every moment with her great-grandchildren, Chloe and Zoey Mayo, who brought immense joy and youthful delight to her later years.
Brenda's professional life was marked by dedication and camaraderie. She retired from the Milan Arsenal, having left an indelible mark on her colleagues and friends. Her second career at Walmart was characterized by the same warmth and kindness that she was renowned for. Brenda's work ethic and friendly demeanor made her a beloved figure in both her professional and personal communities.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 7, 2025, at 7 PM at Bodkin Funeral Home with her family receiving friends from 6 - 7 PM.
