Brenda Blake Obituary

Brenda J. (Davis) Blake, 79, of Logan, Ohio passed away Feb. 20, 2026, at Genesis Hospice Morrison House.

Brenda was born March 4, 1946, in Lovely, Kentucky to the late Carl and Pauline (Stepp) Davis. She was a 1964 graduate of Warfield High School and attended Morehead State University. She enjoyed cooking and baking and loved sharing (and eating) her meals, but especially her desserts. Brenda was a devoted mother and grandmother who never missed an opportunity to volunteer as a Cub Scout Den Leader and help with Girl Scouts when her children were young. She attended school plays, sporting events, birthdays and graduations as both her children and her grandchildren went through school and became successful adults. She valued time with friends and family above all else and will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Blake; daughter Marcy (Charlie) Frank of Zanesville; son Paul Disbennet of Columbus; three grandchildren: Brett Arnold of St. Peters, Missouri, Megan Frank of Zanesville, and Hayley (Michael Cruze) Frank of Zanesville; brother Ronnie Davis; sisters Betty (Jerry) Picard and Gail Dingess; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by sisters Ruth Davis, Sue Sluss, Judy Davis and Ruby Davis; brothers-in-law Ron Dingess and Stanley Sluss; and sister-in-law Calley Davis.

A special goodbye to Judy Gordon for not only styling her hair for years but also loving to use her recipes. She always cherished the time you spent together laughing at jokes and funny stories over the years. Brenda J. Blake
