Brenda Moore Brown peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at the Rainey Hospice House surrounded by her loving family.

Brenda was born in Anderson, SC to the late Henry Moore and the late Gladys Whitman Moore. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wallace D. Moore, and her granddaughter, Heather Loftis.

She worked in the textile industry and maintained a wonderful home for her family. Brenda taught the value of hardwork, but she also loved to sit with her daughters on Saturday morning watching American Bandstand. Of course, the housework had to be completed first! She was a good wife, enjoyed camping and beach trips. Brenda had a green thumb easily keeping her gardens in perfect order. Baking was Brenda's specialty. Everyone loved her sweet "tater" pie, strawberry cake, and chocolate pie. She loved her family and was very proud of her daughters, grands and great grands.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Sam W. Brown; daughters, Teresa Loftis and Terrie Brown; brother, Jimmy Moore; sisters, Hilda Davis and Ida Jean McAbee; grandson, Trent Loftis (Alannah) and their children, Sam Loftis and Coleman Loftis; and grandson, Joshua Loftis.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, from 1:30 - 3:00 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3:00 in the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. Rev. Mike Wiles and Pastor Barry Loftis will officiate. She will be laid to rest at Poplar Spring Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will be at the residence.
