Brenda Joyce Bryant, 70 years of age, passed on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, TX.
Brenda was born May 19, 1954, in Moody, TX to the late Herman and Eddie Lorene Bryant. Brenda was a 1973 graduate of Ector High School and attended Commercial College in 1974-1975.
Brenda professed her life to Christ at an early age. She was a member of Johnson Chapel A.M.E. Church for 70 years. She retired from the State of Texas Health & Human Services.
Brenda was an extreme shopper, a tasteful decorator and an out-of-this world cook. She was a loving and caring person, a devoted mother and friend.
Brenda is predeceased by her parents, sister Lavern Williams, brothers Tom Harris, Billy Harris, Bobby Harris, James Harris, Herman Ray Byrant, Larry Bryant, and Robert Bryant.
Brenda leaves to cherish her loving memory her son, Davorick Taylor (Socorro); grandsons, Jaytn Taylor, Joryon Taylor, Diego Mata, and Dominique Taylor; brothers Charles Hunter (Paula) and Sidney Bryant; sisters, Lucille Bryant, Laura Johnson, Sandra Hunter Williams, Ruby Fowler, Lisa Hudspeth, Cartelia Bryant; cousins Odell Mason, Earl Templeton, KT Templeton, Marie Templeton; and Uncle Frank Templeton and friends.
Visitation will be held Tuesday September 17, 2024 from 1:00PM - 9:00PM at Martinez Funeral Home with a Family and Friends Gathering from 6:00PM - 8:00PM. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday September 18, 2024 at Bethlehem Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
