Born December 17, 1950 in Meridian, She was the daughter of Edgar and Evelyn Wolfe. She married Melvin Burt in 1970 and they enjoyed 44 years together before his passing in 2014. In 1979, Brenda and her family moved to Tupelo. She was a sales associate with Wal-mart, retiring after 22 years of service. Brenda enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles and reading her Bible.
She is survived by two children, Stephen Burt and Summer Riley and her husband, Tyler; three grandchildren, Colbie and Hunter Vaughn and Shelbi Johnson and her husband, Kahleo; two great-grandchildren, Kieran and Carson Johnson; and a brother, Johnny Wolfe
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Evelyn Wolfe; her husband, Melvin; and a brother, Benny Wolfe.
Visitation will be 12 p.m. until service time Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Pegues, Tupelo.
A celebration honoring Brenda’s memory will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Jefferson Street Chapel of Pegues Funeral Directors. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.
