Brenda Chennault, 69, a retired registered nurse at St. Dominic Hospital, died Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.
Visitation is 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, January 30, 2026, at Wilcox Funeral Home and from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at Cedar Grove Baptist Church on Saturday, January 31, 2026. Services are 2:00 pm Saturday, January 31, 2026, with Bro. Benji Sessums, Bro. Justin Chaney, and Bro. Jim Burns officiating. Interment will be in the Chennault-Kersh Family Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chennault, a native of MS, was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and the Steel Magnolias.
She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Jean Eichelberger.
Survivors include her husband, Ernie Chennault of Lena; daughter, Sue Smith; a brother, Herbert Eichelberger, Jr.; 2 sisters, Becky Easterling and Mary Jane Hill; 1 grandchild, Gracie Smith.
Pallbearers are Keith Moss, Dustin Roebuck, Brandon Sessums, Ricky Shannon, Michael Alford, and Bubba Alford.
Honorary pallbearers are Edward Dowell, Ed McCrory, Frankie Lewis, Van Johnson, Sidney Sessums, and R. C. Moss.
Memorial gifts may be made to Still Waters Christian Bordering School.
